Tan Sor Cheng is currently Managing Director and Group Head of HR Technology, Shared Services and Risk for DBS Bank. In this position, Sor Cheng drives HR organizational effectiveness that support the company’s growth. She is responsible for the efficient functioning of the HR shared services, across the 18 markets globally through transformation, effective HR shared services architecture. She leads in the overall design and delivery of HR Technology strategy and drives the HR digital strategy surrounding the Employee Life Cycle for the whole organization. Sor Cheng not only has extensive experience in stakeholder management and driving HR transformations within DBS, a highly matrixed large organization, but is also responsible for ensuring proper risk and control for all HR processes across the organization.
She double-hat as the business HR partner for all HR employee with a keen interest in employee engagement and internal mobility, and making key decisions on how to structure the HR function using both in-house as well as outsourced resources.
A Certified Public Accountant, Sor Cheng was the CFO for DBS Taiwan from 2008-2012. She was the key partner to country head to integrate the new subsidiary into DBS and drives the Finance agenda in DBS Taiwan. She also led the Finance team to transition Finance & accounting practices from a local organization to be aligned with group standards, including building of core banking and the whole suite of Finance systems.
Prior to joining DBS, Sor Cheng was formerly Head of Business Planning in Enterprise Banking in OCBC Bank.
